Frequently asked questions
Short answers we are willing to stand behind. If a claim is not here, we probably should not be making it.
- Does Anannt predict an AP score?
- No. We do not predict AP scores. Progress is reported as coverage, independent evidence, retention, and (after a mock) an internal Anannt practice composite. Those are not College Board scores.
- Is Anannt affiliated with College Board?
- No. Anannt Education is independent. We align language to the AP Calculus AB Course and Exam Description and we link to official College Board pages for administration rules. We are not endorsed by College Board.
- If I finish every lesson, am I ready?
- Not necessarily. Watching or reading a lesson is exposure. Mastery in this product requires independent work on more than one item family, and later a delayed check. A student can complete every page and still be unready in written justification or timed conditions.
- What is the 2027 AP Calculus AB format, as Anannt teaches it?
- For May 2027, College Board specifies a hybrid digital exam: 42 multiple-choice questions in 100 minutes and 6 free-response questions in 90 minutes, in four parts with different calculator rules. Confirm counts and dates on the official AP Calculus AB exam page. Anannt’s mock centre rehearses that structure; home sittings are labelled self-administered.
- What is an Anannt practice composite?
- It is 50 × (MCQ correct / 42) + 50 × (FRQ points earned / FRQ points available). It is a transparent internal percentage for rehearsal. It is not an official AP scaling formula and it is not a predicted AP score.
- How is “I have not learned this yet” different from a wrong answer?
- On the diagnostic, that mark records an unseen topic. It does not count as a careless error. Beginners are expected to use it. We start those skills from teaching, not from a penalty.
- Are mocks proctored?
- Unless a mentor is present, mocks are self-administered. We can turn off hints and Ask Anannt. We cannot see whether a student used an external aid at home. Reports say so.
- Can I open the chain-rule or related-rates lesson without an account?
- No. Lessons 1 and 2 — limit versus function value, then FTC accumulation — are open with no account. Lessons 3 (chain rule) and 4 (related rates) wait behind a short form at study.anannt.ae/start. That is not a published eight-unit course, and this studio does not predict an AP score.
- Does this course include AP Calculus BC topics?
- Not as required AB mastery. Shared unit numbers sometimes contain BC-only ideas (for example Euler’s method or logistic models). Those stay labelled optional and out of default AB assignments.
