How we teach the PSAT suite

The ten-step journey

1. Orient. See how the digital suite is built: two Reading and Writing modules, two Math modules, a break, and two-stage adaptation inside each section.
2. Diagnose. A 28-item screening across eight official domains. Small samples yield placement hints, not an official score.
3. Place. Foundation, core, or stretch at skill level. Untested skills stay unknown rather than guessed.
4. Plan. Dated sessions from weekly minutes. A missed day is rescheduled; the planner does not pile shame work.
5. Learn. An 8–15 minute lesson: objective, why it matters, explanation, two examples, checks, misconception, independent items, takeaway.
6. Apply. Independent questions. A hint or a revealed solution is assisted evidence and cannot satisfy mastery.
7. Retain. Delayed fresh items. Coverage, accuracy, retention, and timed performance stay separate numbers.
8. Perform. Mixed sets, timed modules, and a shortened two-stage mock that freezes an Anannt routing rule.
9. Reflect. An error notebook with knowledge, interpretation, method, calculation, and timing — suggestions, not diagnoses.
10. Test day. Outbound College Board digital practice and a logistics checklist. Anannt never collects College Board credentials.

What “complete” versus “shell” means

The map shows RW0–RW12 and M0–M14 so sequence is visible. Complete lessons (among them M2 slope in context, RW8 sentence boundaries, RW1 some versus all) carry original worked examples, checks, and independent items. Walkable shells still have an objective, two mini-examples, and checks — they are not blank — but they are labelled so a unit you have not really been taught is not marked mastered.

Evidence we will not collapse

Coverage (did instruction start?), independent accuracy (unhinted), retention (delayed fresh items), and timed performance stay separate. A hinted correct answer is useful teaching and cannot satisfy mastery. Mocks report raw module accuracy and an Anannt routing branch — never a 320–1520.
