Anannt Education
Help — how to learn here
This is mentorship copy, not a policy dump. Use it when you want the scientific reason for a next step, or when a parent asks what a label actually means.
How the learning cycle works
- Diagnose prior understanding. The plan is provisional, not a verdict on ability.
- Explain one manageable concept with a biological representation.
- Predict, retrieve, calculate, or explain before the full explanation is revealed.
- Receive feedback tied to the specific reasoning error, then a specific next move.
- Test transfer in a different biological context.
- Revisit after a delay.
- Combine ideas in mixed practice and a short hybrid rehearsal.

How evidence works
Demonstrated requires 3 distinct unassisted opportunities across 2 sessions, at least 80% on the eligible window, and a transfer item. Retained additionally needs a delayed check. Failed delayed checks recommend repair and do not erase history. These thresholds are scaled for the pilot so a diligent demo can reach Demonstrated; they are not psychometric probabilities and not a chance of a 5.
How parents and mentors should read progress
“Insufficient evidence” means this browser session has not yet seen independent work on that objective. It is not a failing grade. Revealed keys and repeats of the same stem are assisted. FRQ scores here are heuristic and provisional until a teacher reviews them. There is no unit average invented from missing data.
Exam date, calculator, and honesty
Monday 3 May 2027, Session 2. Calendar record version 2026-09-10. This date is stored as versioned calendar data from College Board’s published 2027 AP Biology exam listing. Confirm locally with College Board before making travel or school arrangements. Curriculum source anannt-apbio-pilot-2026.1. College Board currently supports calculators and reference materials on the AP Biology exam; confirm the policy in force for your sitting. This pilot does not reproduce official formula sheets.
Questions people actually ask
Is this AP Biology prep for the May 2027 exam?
It is a Unit 2 and Unit 3 slice aimed at the Monday 3 May 2027 Session 2 sitting. Two public lessons are open: water movement and enzymes. Units 1 and 4–8 are not published. Using this desk does not register you for the exam.
Does Anannt Education register me for the AP Biology exam?
No. Enrolment in this pilot does not register you with College Board. Register through College Board and your school, and confirm the sitting locally.
Is Anannt Education affiliated with College Board?
No. Anannt Education is an independent exam-prep subject-matter expert. Official unit names are used for orientation. Lessons, MCQs, FRQs, and investigations are original Anannt Education work. This is not AP Classroom and not an official partnership.
What membrane-transport ideas does the pilot actually teach?
Selective barriers, diffusion, osmosis and tonicity, a worked two-compartment water-movement model, facilitated diffusion, active transport, and comparing mechanisms. You predict before explanations, then collect independent evidence on a later item.
Do you offer AP Biology FRQ practice?
Yes — six original Anannt Education FRQs with heuristic, provisional scoring. Feedback names what the response already earned, which scientific connection is missing, and a suggested revision. It is not an official AP mark and not an AI confidence score.
Is the hybrid mock an official AP exam?
No. The short hybrid rehearsal mixes original MCQs and a paper-style FRQ with hints disabled. It trains timing and device habits for a hybrid sitting. The composite is internal practice only — never converted to a 1–5 AP score.
How does spaced review work here?
After a lesson cycle, a delayed retrieval item is scheduled. Passing it can move Demonstrated toward Retained. Failing it recommends a repair session and does not erase earlier evidence. Revealed or repeated stems are assisted, not new independent proof.
Will the platform tell me my probability of a 5?
No. Progress shows independent evidence, delayed checks, and insufficient evidence. There is no fake unit average and no predicted official score. A mentor would not invent a 5 from a membrane-transport pilot.
Are the catalase simulations a substitute for school lab?
No. Virtual investigations train experimental reasoning — variables, noisy data, limitations. They are not a substitute for a school’s required supervised laboratory course.
How should a parent or mentor read My Progress?
Read labels as evidence, not character. “Insufficient evidence” means the pilot has not yet seen independent work on that objective. Revealed answers do not count as mastery. Overdue review is one short retrieval, not a guilt queue.
This is a Unit 2 and Unit 3 slice. It is not complete AP Biology. Enrolment here does not register you for the AP Biology exam. Simulated catalase and water-movement labs are not a school laboratory course. Anannt Education does not award or predict official 1–5 AP scores.
